The “Kunstcafé” or “Arts Café” in Margraten is a cultural network event which provides a monthly platform for artists of all kinds to present their book, poetry, music etc. These events are supported by the municipality of Margraten-Eijsden who wish to encourage the arts in the community and improve the interaction between the various artists.
On Friday, 10th March 2017, Hub van Laar was invited to participate as Special Guest, and was interviewed by the organiser Juliette Sinko. Appearing alongside Hub was jazz trumpeter Marc Huynen with his Van Laar Trio. The highly entertaining evening took place in an intimate and cosy atmosphere. On the programme was not only Hub’s humourous and interesting interview, during which our company video was shown, but also songs from a local vocal group, a book review, a concert by two pianists and, of course, music by Marc Huynen (trumpet), Jo Didderen (double bass), and Csaba Székely (guitar). Such a varied programme certainly found favour with the appreciative audience. We should like to express our hearty thanks to the municipality of Margraten-Eijsden, the event organiser Juliette Sinko, and the musicians Marc Huynen, Jo Didderen and Csaba Székely.
