The van Laar instruments, to begin with, are designed to answer every need a trumpet or flugelhorn player might have. The full line is complete in every way. Add to that the outstanding craftsmanship and consistency and you have, in my opinion, the finest trumpets and flugels made anywhere in the world today. The fact that it’s a small shop means a lot, I think, because each horn is given very personal attention. Simply, if there is any finer instrument made I don’t know of it.
