I play an outstanding trumpet and a wonderful flugelhorn, which have both been made by Hub van Laar. Hub is a great guy who understands the needs and demands of modern jazz trumpet players. They have a great sound and intonation, and the design is superb. I play the trumpet model B5 for my section, lead and studio work, which allows me as a jazz soloist to play with a nice, warm sound. I also play the “Oiram” Ack flugelhorn for the same purposes. In my opinion, this is one of the best flugelhorns I have ever played, and it is certainly the one I like best.
