Voilà 1 ans et demi que je souhaitais renouveler mes trompettes, et il me fallait trouver un fabricant assez courageux, patient et surtout qui aurait un sens artistique assez développé pour m’aider … ce fut le cas avec Hub VAN LAAR et son équipe…. Mon projet était de m’équiper de 3 trompettes en UT, qui me permettraient de balayer tout le répertoire de la musique orchestrale…
On ne peut pas jouer la musique française de la même manière que la musique Viennoise, et je souhaitais m’aider avec des instruments les plus adaptés possible. Hub Van Laar a réussi à comprendre ce concept et a accepté de me faire confiance, en répondant à chaque fois à mes demandes, en y ajoutant sa touche de talent et d’artiste.
Ainsi sont nées 3 trompettes en UT, issues de la même famille, mais dont chacune à sa propre personnalité. La Paris m1, à la sonorité riche et timbrée, magnifique pour la musique française, la Paris m2, au son plus large et plus doux, peut-être la plus « polyvalente » des 3, et enfin la m3, parfaite pour la musique Viennoise, au son plus chaud et large…
I had been wanting to renew my trumpets for a year and a half, but I had to find a manufacturer who was courageous enough, patient and who – above all – would have a sufficiently developed artistic sensibility to help me… This was the case with Hub VAN LAAR and his team… My plan was to equip myself with three trumpets in C, which would allow me to span the entire repertoire of orchestral music…
It goes without saying that you can’t play French music as you would Viennese music, and I wanted to help myself with the most suitable instruments possible. Hub Van Laar understood this concept and agreed to trust me, responding each time to my requests, adding his touch of talent and artistry.
That is how three trumpets in C were conceived, all from the same family, but each with its own personality. The Paris m.1, with its rich sound and resonance, is magnificent for French music; the Paris m.2, with its wider and softer sound, is perhaps the most “versatile” of the three; and finally the Paris m.3, is perfect for Viennese music, with its warmer and wider sound.
